Description
Appearance of the plant: The Calathea Makoyana, also known as the Peacock plant, has large, oval leaves with a striking pattern. The upper side of the leaves is light green with dark green spots, while the underside has a deep red hue. The leaves can grow up to 45 cm high and the pot has a diameter of 17 cm.
Location: The Calathea Makoyana thrives best in a spot with indirect light, preferably in partial shade. Direct sunlight can damage the leaves. This plant is perfect for indoors.
Water requirements: This plant likes moist soil. Make sure the potting soil is constantly slightly moist, but avoid letting the roots stand in water. Water about twice a week, depending on the humidity in your home.
