'Ribes Rubrum Jonkheer van Tets' is a red currant. The shrub grows vigorously and has a high fruit yield. It is one of the earliest ripening red currants, the berries are already ripe around the end of June. The berries grow in long bunches and have a sour, but fresh taste. You can eat them in pie or as jam, for example. The shrub blooms in the spring with small green-white flowers.
